Florida accident reconstruction services from GrayMatter Group support attorneys, insurers, corporations, and public agencies. Our experts serve Miami, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, and assignments statewide through a nationwide practice. Our principal office is in Hebron, Kentucky.
Reconstruct the conditions of the event
For a Florida assignment, the first review separates conditions documented at the time of the collision from those observed later. Photographs may show the roadway after vehicles have moved, traffic has cleared, or weather and lighting have changed. Those differences should be identified before using a later inspection to explain the original event.
Provide the date, time, location, travel directions, and available scene documentation. If a visibility or surface-condition question matters, identify the evidence supporting the reported conditions. A general description of rain or darkness is not a substitute for the information needed for a particular analysis.
Turning, crossing, and pedestrian conflicts
Intersection and crossing assignments may require evaluation of approach paths, obstructions, traffic controls, and timing. Original video can help, but the camera’s view is not automatically the driver’s view. Reference measurements, recording quality, and frame timing affect what can be concluded.
Our pedestrian reconstruction work examines contact evidence, movement, and visibility. For motorcycle collisions, the analysis also considers stability and the separate paths of motorcycle and rider. A single final position does not establish the complete pre-impact sequence.
Vehicle inspections and electronic evidence
Tell us where each involved vehicle is stored and who can authorize access. Repair or disposal can change what remains available for examination. In a commercial-vehicle matter, identify the tractor, trailer, and any other relevant units separately, including their current locations.
We offer commercial truck reconstruction and EDR and black box data analysis. Vehicle compatibility and recording conditions determine what electronic information may be available. Downloaded values are interpreted with the physical evidence and the limitations of the system.
Prepare a Florida case review
Useful starting materials include reports, photographs, original video, vehicle identification details, existing downloads, inspection reports, and known deadlines. State the question you need answered, such as impact location, collision order, speed, or sightlines. An initial review can identify gaps before an opinion is developed.

Preserve the record behind a visibility question
For a Florida matter involving a disputed view, identify what the observer was reported to be looking toward and the source of that description. Retain photographs of the approaches and any original recordings. Explain whether those materials were collected at the time of the event or during a later visit made for another purpose.
A later inspection may help answer a carefully defined question without reproducing every original condition. The review should describe the comparison being made and its limitations. If an obstruction or position is uncertain, that uncertainty belongs in the analysis and should remain visible in any diagram prepared from it.
Separate original files from presentation copies
Case files often include a short video clip prepared for convenient viewing and a longer original recording. Send both when available and label them clearly. Identify known changes such as trimming, annotations, conversion, or playback adjustments. This allows the review to use the original material while understanding what a later presentation shows.
The same approach helps with photographs and download reports. An enlarged detail or selected table can make a question easier to discuss, but the complete source should accompany it. A reconstruction needs the surrounding context as well as the portion that first drew attention.
Identify what remains available before setting the scope
A useful evidence inventory lists each involved vehicle, its current custodian, prior examinations, and any known repair or release date. Note materials that have been requested but not received. For commercial combinations, list the tractor and trailer separately even if they were operated together during the event.
Provide existing expert reports with their exhibits and supporting materials if the assignment includes an independent review. We can then evaluate the reasoning and assumptions actually used, rather than reacting to a summary. The initial discussion can distinguish urgent evidence work from questions that require additional records before they can be addressed.
