Idaho Accident Reconstruction

Idaho accident reconstruction from GrayMatter Group supports attorneys, insurers, corporations, and public agencies with evidence-based collision analysis. Reconstructionists serve Idaho, including Boise, the I-84 corridor, and statewide assignments. The firm’s principal office is in Hebron, Kentucky. We accept cases throughout the United States and organize the work around the evidence and questions in each matter.

Start with an accurate scene location

For an Idaho case, send the roadway name, direction of travel, nearest intersection or mile reference, and the collision date. If the incident occurred away from a conventional intersection, provide a marked map with the original photographs. An approximate location can be useful for the first call, but the inspection scope needs a clear description of where the event occurred.

Identify which photographs were taken before recovery operations, which show vehicles after movement, and which came from a later visit. We use those distinctions when deciding what needs to be measured or checked. Evidence should retain its source and date so a later observation is not inadvertently presented as a condition documented at the collision.

Plan inspections across separate locations

Passenger vehicles, tractors, and trailers may be stored in different places after an event. Provide a separate location and contact for each unit, including any known release or disposal date. Tell us whether access has been authorized and whether another inspection is scheduled. This information helps make an inspection plan that addresses the relevant evidence without assuming every item remains available.

For Boise and I-84 corridor assignments, as elsewhere in Idaho, the first priority may be documenting a vehicle that is about to leave storage. Scene work and vehicle work can have different access requirements. We discuss these practical constraints at the outset so the scope reflects what can actually be examined and preserved.

Passenger-vehicle questions

A passenger-vehicle review may ask about impact location, movement before contact, collision order, or consistency between damage and an account. Send the complete police report with supplements and photographs, not just the diagram. Witness descriptions, measured evidence, and an investigator’s interpretation should remain distinguishable in the case materials.

We can evaluate the available record and identify additional work needed before an opinion is developed. If only photographs remain, say so. The report should describe the limitations of that evidence rather than imply that an unavailable vehicle was inspected. Our accident reconstruction services page explains the broader scope.

Commercial vehicles and electronic records

Our commercial truck analysis includes review of relevant scene and vehicle evidence, supported electronic information, and records related to the questions presented. Identify the tractor and trailer separately. Include available inspection documentation, repair history, and previous examinations with their dates. An equipment concern should be investigated on its evidence rather than assumed from the outcome of a collision.

For EDR or heavy-truck data work, provide the vehicle year, make, model, identifying details, and any existing download. Send the original file when available and the complete report. We first establish which system was examined and how the record relates to the incident before using a reported value in the analysis.

Motorcycle and pedestrian matters

Idaho assignments also include motorcycle collisions and pedestrian incidents. Describe the particular dispute: movement, visibility, contact location, or sequence. Collect photographs and original witness accounts without editing them into a single narrative. Different sources may describe different moments, and the reconstruction should examine those differences openly.

When a visibility question is involved, distinguish the documented collision conditions from conditions during later photography. Provide the time, available scene photographs, and the source of any lighting or weather description. A useful initial review identifies what is known and what would need further examination before a meaningful comparison is made.

Request an Idaho evidence review

Send a short statement of the questions, the materials already available, and any deadlines. List evidence that has been requested but not received. This allows the initial discussion to focus on priorities, including whether inspection access or an original recording needs attention before the broader analysis proceeds.

Review our experts’ qualifications and CVs, then call 513-259-0296 or contact GrayMatter Group. We provide 24-hour response for preservation inquiries. For time-sensitive equipment, include the storage location and access contact; the inspection itself is arranged according to availability and the assignment’s requirements.
