Missouri Accident Reconstruction

Missouri accident reconstruction services from GrayMatter Group support the review of collisions in St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, the I-70 and I-44 corridors, and throughout the state. Reconstructionists serve Missouri through our nationwide practice. Our principal office is in Hebron, Kentucky, and clients include attorneys, insurers, corporations, and public agencies.

We begin by identifying the issue that the physical evidence can help resolve. For some cases, the priority is a vehicle inspection before release. For others, it is organizing photographs, recordings, and existing reports to understand a disputed sequence. The assignment is defined around the questions and available evidence.

Organize multi-vehicle evidence by event and source

A collision file may include several reports, different vehicle numbering systems, and photographs taken at different times. Provide a key identifying the vehicles and the naming convention used in each report. When statements refer to the first or second impact, retain the original wording and identify who provided the account.

For a Missouri interstate assignment, include the direction of travel, roadway location, and available documentation of the approaches. We separate the initial event, subsequent contacts, vehicle movement, and recovery activity where the evidence permits. An orderly record helps avoid attributing evidence from one stage of the incident to another.

St. Louis, Kansas City, and Springfield assignments

Tell us where the collision occurred and where the vehicles are now. Those locations may be different, and each has its own access requirements. Supply a precise scene location and the storage contact for every vehicle that may need examination. If equipment has crossed a state line after the event, include its current location rather than only the original recovery yard.

We take assignments statewide, including matters outside these cities and corridors. Geographic coverage does not replace an inspection plan. The initial conversation should identify the evidence still available, the people authorized to provide access, and any deadline for release, repair, or another party’s examination.

Passenger vehicles and truck combinations

Passenger-vehicle work may address impact location, movement, and consistency between accounts and damage. Complete photographs and inspection records help establish what can be evaluated. If a vehicle cannot be examined, the analysis should state that limitation and identify the materials used in its place.

In commercial truck reconstruction, identify both tractor and trailer. Records concerning one unit should not be silently applied to the other. Relevant materials may include equipment identification, inspection reports, maintenance documentation, photographs, and existing electronic files. The particular issue determines which records need detailed review.

Review downloads without losing the supporting pages

Our EDR and black box data analysis is part of the broader evidence review. Provide the full download, any original electronic file, and the date and circumstances of the examination. Screenshots can help locate a question but should accompany the complete record when it exists.

A review can distinguish what the report actually records from a later interpretation of the event. If two sources appear inconsistent, we examine the underlying assumptions and timing before selecting one as correct. Unresolved differences belong in the analysis instead of being removed from the explanation for convenience.

Motorcycle and pedestrian questions

Missouri matters involving motorcycles or pedestrians should start with the specific question. Provide scene documentation, vehicle photographs, witness materials, and recordings. Mark whether positions in a diagram were measured, estimated, or added during a later review.

If the question concerns what could be seen, identify the claimed viewpoint and the evidence describing conditions at the relevant time. Later photographs are useful when their purpose and limitations are clear. We do not assume that a camera’s view establishes what a participant saw during the event.

Prepare a focused case discussion

Send the collision date, precise location, vehicle list, report and supplements, photographs, video, and prior opinions. Explain the question in a short paragraph and identify materials that are still being requested. Include known deadlines so urgent preservation work can be distinguished from the later analysis and report preparation.

For a review of another reconstruction, include its exhibits and referenced materials. A conclusion alone does not show how the opinion was developed. We assess the stated methods and evidence, identify what is supported, and explain where a missing record or uncertain assumption affects the question presented.
